Happily Ever After

Posted October 6th, 2009 by Leigh

August 31, 2007 Joshua (my son) and I climbed onto the horse carriage and headed towards the chapel. The guests sat waiting patiently while my soon to be husband stood awaiting our arrival.

Joshua was very excited as he walked me down the aisle. We both smiled from ear to ear, thinking back we probably would have been good characters for a Colgate advert.

It was an important day for the three of us because we were officially going to be united as a family.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful.  Barend and I exchanged our vows and no sooner did our minister announce us to be man and wife. It was the happiest day of my life, I was now Mrs. Leigh-Ann Burger!

We invited family and close friends to our wedding, wanting them to share our special day. Everyone had a fabulous time.

This was definitely my most memorable, special and treasured day.  I am very, very blessed because I married my soul mate, my best friend, my companion and lover.

I thank God every day for creating and giving me such a beautiful man, not only for myself but also for our children.
