Today I had my 35 / 36 week check up and our baby Logan weighs 2.8 kg and she is still very active. Doc reckons she is very, very low – he thinks it is part of the reason that I am sooo uncomfortable and in so much pain. Of course the ligaments have a lot to do with this as well.
Joshua and my mom went with me for my check up, as my hubby had to work. Joshua kept asking if baby Logan was going to come today or if he still has to wait another 2 weeks. He politely told my Doc that he thinks she should come naturally, he doesn’t like the idea of them cutting his little sister out of mommies tummy. “Mom, she is just not ready yet, she will come when she is ready” bless him.
We discussed the option of me having a cesarean but my Doc is not too keen. He feels I’ve worked so hard and done so well with the pregnancy that I should wait for natural. He politely reminded me that I do tend to pop them out and deliver fairly quickly. I still thought dam his got a good memory, but come to think of it, it was only in January when he delivered Abigail.
We made the decision to wait another 2 weeks and if by the 7th of December she hasn’t arrived on her own then we will either induce or have a c-section. Hubby and I will discuss this tonight. My only concern is if I haven’t dilated – will the induction not be a lot more painful? This is a question I need to ask Pink Hair Girl. I didn’t even think to ask him while I was in his rooms.
I am no longer allowed to take long walks or drive my car as this is aggravating the pain. I will stop working on Friday, and to be honest I am happy with this decision. My new product launch will now be postponed until January. A pity because I wanted to launch everything before Christmas, it is such a fantastic skin and body care range. I do understand tho that “mommy needs time out”. I cannot add any unnecessary stress to myself or little Logan.
Our bags are packed.
I stopped by the maternity ward just to check who will be on duty the week of the 7th (a bit cheeky I know) and fortunately it will be my two favourite mid wives “Mary” and “Linda”. I would like Linda to deliver our little girl (she delivered Abigail) but she is on night duty so it will probably be Mary, who is also wonderful.
The heartburn has definitely slowed down, thank goodness.
Now I am just waiting anxiously for our little one’s arrival.

You have such good taste in names: Logan is my little boy’s name. Although he would have been named Logan if he were a girl as well!
I hope the next two week speed by! New life is so exciting!

Good luck for this last stretch! I’m sorry to hear you’re in a lot of pain, hope that it’s not too bad while you take it easy on walking and driving?
