Past weekend

Posted November 30th, 2009 by Leigh

I woke up on Friday morning and felt the need for a change. Yip I decided that it was time to cut my hair. Now I’ve heard that many pregnant women make drastic changes during their last few weeks to either their homes or themselves. (I chose both).

Fortunately I have a good hairdresser who refused to chop it all off, so we ended up with a neat layered bob. I was happy.

During the evening we went to Joshua’s school to watch Carols by Candle Light, a bit of a let down as it took place in the hall – which was jam packed. (We were suppose to have a family picnic on the rugby field). After the show we ended up having a picnic in our lounge and soon thereafter I crawled into bed.

On Saturday, Barend took Abigail to “Dads and Babes” and Joshua and I went to watch a movie. I wanted to do something special with him before Logan arrives. He chose to watch “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs”. It is not the type of movie I would rave about it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it.

We arrived home after the movie and played Monopoly and then mommy had a nap (whats new).

Around 11:30 pm, I thought Logan was on her way “yippee”. I had the cramps along with the upset tummy and I was nauseas. I wasn’t sure if I should wake my mom, she was sound asleep and I wasn’t sure if it was yet another false alarm. I made some tea and turned on the telly to watch a movie. The cramps continued until 1:00 am and then STOPPED!!!!!

Oh! well I guess she is on her way just not ready for that grand entrance yet.

I don’t seem to feel the pressure anymore on my pelvis and I’m thinking it is perhaps because I have started dilating…… Dam this is when I wish I had studied to be a midwife so I’d have all the answers to my soo many questions. You would think that after your second pregnancy you would know what is happening with your third.

Sunday started off as a lazy day, we stayed in bed until 11:00 am, playing with Abigail (Josh is visiting his dad for a few days) and then decided to go for lunch. Lunch was okay, nothing spectacular.

My poor hubby was sentenced to work when we arrived home. He had a load of pictures, mirrors etc. to hang up for me. (The changes look good)

I was in bed by 8:00 and dozed off shortly thereafter………….

It was a lovley weekend. Now! we await the week ahead, hoping and praying that our little monkey arrives sometime soon.

She is due the 20th, but Doc will probably induce on the 8th if she hasn’t already arrived. She is very, very low and the pain is unbearable at times. Will post pics soon, I’m not the brightest cookie when it comes to connecting the camera and pc ha, ha…….
