Today….

Posted November 18th, 2009 by Leigh

Today I feel like a bus has hit me. I’m exhausted, sore and very frustrated. I spent the last two days in bed trying to get some rest and keep my feet up. I can only watch so much t.v. and I’m not to keen on reading.

My poor children are somewhat “neglected” at the mo, cause mommy has no energy to play. Thank goodness for Jeminah our nanny, she is taking good care of them.

The heartburn is awful, Gaviscon and Rennies are no longer “my friends”, they just don’t help anymore. I am thinking of investing in a dairy farm so I can get gallons of milk whenever it pleases me. The milk seems to ease the burning sensation for a little while.

I am convinced Logan is going to fall out. If I walk around, I support my pelvis with my hand and the looks I get from passersby, oh! what the hell………….lump them!

I am having sleepless nights as the pain in my abdomen, groin and back is excruciating. I count 1,2,3 and then I turn to another position, holding my breath because it is so painful. The medication the Doc has given me, helps but only for a hour or so.

I feel helpless and useless all at the same time. Today is the day I’m opting for a cesarean, which means baby Logan will arrive in two / three weeks time. Will I regret that decision, probably. Maybe tomorrow we’ll have a better day, with a lot less pain and I’ll once again change my mind.

It would be awesome to have a “heartburn free day”.

It would be wonderful to type a “positive post” with no “moaning and groaning” or “feeling sorry for oneself”, hopefully that will happen tomorrow.

Oh! the joys of the third trimester.

Hang in there darling… just a little while longer!! It will be all worth it when you get to see Logan for the first time.

Sorry you’re not feeling well. That pain you’re talking about sounds very familiar – although I am very grateful that I don’t have it every day!

Don’t worry too much if you do decide to have a C-section…as long as you and the baby are safe, that’s the most important.

Ps! I LIVE on Creme Soda – it’s awesome for heartburn too and it tastes better than Gaviscon at least. ;-)

Thanks ladies. I’m already feeling better XXXX

Louisa – I drink iron brew, seems to help a little. I think I have shares with Gaviscon and Rennies (ha, ha)
Hills – Thanks cooks, I am trying so hard to be patient, knowing it will be worth the wait. The last month is always the worst. We will see you in Cape Town in February.
