Today of all days I decided to unpack the boxes. filled with the ingredients for my new product launch. I started re-arranging the kitchen, to prepare my new “work station”. Perhaps its nesting time!
Joshua was very keen to help and he was such a good assistant. Little Abigail was going from one side of the kitchen to the other in her walking ring.
Joshua and I were just about done when I noticed Abigail (in the corner of my eye) pull on the toaster cord which I had left hanging over the edge of the cupboard (it was not on).
I ran towards her to grab the toaster and managed to lift it just before it fell on her. I then realized that I had run into the corner of the cupboard. Yip, my belly got in the way or was it me not looking where I was going.
I looked down at my tummy and it was swollen, red and blue. I panicked and jumped into my car and headed straight for my gynecologists rooms.
I was monitored for an hour and baby Logan’s heart beat was racing, but fortunately there was nothing to be too alarmed about. The swelling subsided but the bruising obviously remained.
I have to make sure that there is fetal movement, no blood and no sharp pains.
What a frightening experience. I still can’t believe that I did not look where I was going – my only thought was grabbing the toaster before it fell on Abigail’s head.
Once again, my dear little angel guardians were keeping a watch over me, Abi and Logan. “we are so blessed”

WoW. Also fell twice in my third trimester(just my knees was bruised)! 1st: I had to wake the other kids up for school. Still fast asleep, I stumbled into the passage and completely lost my balance, I fell and couldnt get up! I think it was the combination of the “boep” and the sleepy-ness. 2nd: I was outside and fell over a stone embedded into the ground. This was really bad, I cried alot, my knees was also blue.
And im still fine, I hope that your pregnancy will be ‘accident-free’ futher on!!

Ouch! It is quite a scary thing to go thru. Thank goodness our little ones are well protected in the womb. Only have a few days left so taking it very, very easy – no more running into cupboards LOL.
