2010

Posted January 8th, 2010 by Leigh

We had a wonderful New Years eve, instead of going to a restaurant we decided to have a picnic in my parents garden. Their garden is the perfect “peace haven”.

My parents and a friend of theirs  joined Barend and I. We had a lovely time. Needless to say I never made it past 9:30 pm.

I don’t believe in New Years resolutions, a little bit of a procrastinator I am. So I’ve decided to compile a to do list this year, and I’m hoping to tick off each item before June.

Business:
I am going to pay more attention to marketing the salon  this year and in doing so I hope to gain new clients. I would like to try and improve on my skills as well as my knowledge of the beauty industry. I would like to enroll for another course this year, depending on the time I have available.

In February I would like to launch Tranquil Body Treats and I am really hoping that this new venture takes off with a boom. I believe in my heart that it will as my products are awesome. I put a lot of time and effort into the making of the products as well as the research.

Children
I am definitely going to play more and laugh more with my children. Perhaps I’ll even spend more time in the kitchen baking (I’m not very good at baking, even my box cakes flop). I need to concentrate less on discipline and allow my kids to just be.

My hubby
As a couple we need to try and spend more quality time together, but at the moment it seems almost impossible with the children. I would like to go away at least three times this year alone with my hubby, just the two of us. So far we have our trip to OZ and NZ on the cards.

I am going to show more love and appreciation to my hubby. I need to cuddle more and kiss lots more :) I need to show a lot more affection.

Friends

I need to make time to visit my friends, we seem to just live past one another.

I no longer want to associate myself with people that are negative as I fear they may drag me into their hole.

Weight

Oooh, this is a touchy subject.  I gained 30 kg over the last 2 years and have managed to lose 10 kg.  I still have to lose 20 kg.

I’ve started a “hypnotherapy diet” and it works, but this is for another post:)

Finance

I would like to save a little money every month, even if it is just R250.00.

Twitter

Hmmmmm note that this is last on my list and it is purely because I am still thinking about this one.  Perhaps I’ll join all the “Twitters” and start “Tweeting”

I am so looking forward to this year. I will stay focused – positive & energized!

WoW… This is a very good list because it has all the wholesome stuff and things that REALLY matter on there.

I know I am soooo bad… maybe your friends should visit you more often. ;)

For someone who doesn’t like making new year’s resolutions you’ve managed to put together quite a list!
