Joshua insisted that we all tag along to his first day back at school, so mommy, daddy and the two girls went with. Thank goodness traffic was a breeze as we were running a wee bit late.
His teacher seemed rather nice or somewhat sweet. I noticed that most of the children in his class seem to be the more sensitive kids, I’m relieved because Joshua certainly does not need another strict granny shouting at him every day. His previous teacher was lovely but very much the old school type, she’s been there for years. Don’t get me wrong I really liked her and unlike some mothers I was not afraid of her BUT her voice and tone was a tad bit to “loud” for Joshua. I must say I will miss her discipline, she kept her kids in line.
We bought Joshua’s school uniform at the “only” shop that sells it, probably why it was so dam expensive. We paid R818.00 for 3 pairs of shorts, 3 shirts (which were on special) a hat and a jersey. Pepalina boutique sell the same shorts for a third of the price but they did not have his size, I will stock up for next year.
Fortunately I won’t be running off to Waltons to buy extra stationery as that is included in the school fees, they prefer to buy the “required brands” and everyone must have the same “huh”.
At 1:00 pm I’ll be off to fetch Joshua and I so hope I find an easy parking bay because I am not use to driving our new car. Barend bought us a new Mazda 5, such an easy drive but dam it is a longish car. I am not complaining cause we definitely need it with our little big family

Cat – it sure has taken some getting use to, but I love her! She is a cool and a safe ride. Joshua loves her too, he has the entire back seats to himself.
