She lights up the room when she waddles in.  She loves her mommy, daddy, brother and sister. Gogo is her hero.

She loves to play outside.

I wonder what will become of her one day, what will she choose to study, what career path will she choose.  I’m thinking she will be a Doctor or a Lawyer, because she is smart – no really she is. She has her daddies enquiring mind and becomes frustrated if she can’t master something.

She often makes me laugh, especially in the morning when I’m getting ready for work.  She watches me closely and applies her moisturiser and lip balm, her little bra gets wrapped  around her neck along with her beads.

She mimics whatever I say.  Did you know that her daddies name is Baaaaabbbe “babe” said as a little rhyme.

The other day I was giving her a timeout and as I started counting one…………….she politely interrupted saying two and that was that………..her timeout was over!

There is never a dull moment with our little Abigail around.

I am usually quite good at saying thank you, showing appreciation, gratitude and love. But lately I’ve slipped up badly.

I rave about my husband quite often on my blog and it is not because I have to but because I can and I want to. I love my husband unconditionally, he is my soul mate. I know of quite a few ladies that feel the same about their partners and it is a wonderful feeling. To us our partners are “perfect” they are the love of our lives and our lives revolve around them.

My husband is my best friend, my lover, my business partner and soul mate. In fact he is my everything. I am very fortunate and blessed.

I often wonder if he knows how much he means to me, how much I cherish him.  I am certain that he is not feeling the love at the mo, I’ve given everything to our new venture so much so that I’ve taken a part of us and pushed it aside. There is no excuse, it is something I have to fix.

Don’t get me wrong he never complains but because we are so in-tune with one another I feel what he feels.

He is not only a wonderful husband but an awesome daddy too. Our children love him and their little faces light up when he is in the room. He takes good care of them.

He provides for us emotionally, physically and financially and never asks for anything in return.

Thank you my love for everything!

I have had such an awesome busy week.  The shop is doing okay, rather quiet during the week but today was a good day.  I work at the shop from 9:00 – 4:30 and then rush home to attend to my 5 pm clients at the salon.  At the mo I am doing a shite load of Hollywood and Brazilian waxes, have no idea why.  I then attend to the  food, kids and my hubby and then I spend some time in the kitchen making products.

Tranquil Body Treats has gone from body and bath products, to a pregnancy range, a baby range, a gentleman’s range, a manicure and pedicure range, a kids range and now an exciting new facial range.  The facial range will be launched within the next two weeks or so.

I had an interesting visit today from a cosmetologist, she came to look at my product range.  I believe a friend sent her around, she was so impressed and to be honest she made me feel so proud!

The kids are missing me, as they are so use to me being at home. I’m considering taking on an employee to run the shop on Wednesday’s so I have time with the kids.  I miss them too.

I have to admit that as much as I miss them I really  love being busy, it is  almost like I thrive on it – crazy I guess – but that is me.

Anyway as soon as our website has been updated I will send you all the link.  I’ll be writing posts on the Tranquil Body Treats blog, relating to the products, ingredients etc.  We are going to host our first competition which, should commence the first week of June.  A little hint…………the prize is gonna be for the little ones.

Going back 10 years……..wow…………some thoughts I had were funny – some scary – some naughty – some sad and some happy.

1999
My models and I took part in our last fashion show and photoshoot on board the Symphony. I resigned from the modelling world as I was moving to America.
At the airport I said goodbye to my family and a few really good friends as I jetted off to the USA to become a nanny.

During my stay in the States I met some really awesome people, to name a few Todd, Sigga, CJ, Lindi, Tamara, Anjela and Bernie. Thanks to FB I keep in touch with all of them except for poor old Bernie and Tamara.

I studied Spanish during my free time, and I have to admit it was not because I liked the lingo but because the teacher was ‘n “warm stukkie”.

I was introduced to the Polka Festival world, not something I should be boasting about as that music is just so “yukkie”, but at that time it was awesome. We partied none stop, drank ourselves silly, danced until we couldn’t anymore and had loads and loads of fun.

2000
My sister joined me in Michigan and we celebrated the New Year together. It was fab having her with me. I really missed my family a lot whilst living abroad. I was fortunate enough to have my mom came over and visit me and we travelled up North to the Upper Peninsula, we too had an awesome time.

After my year was up as a nanny I returned to SA for a month and then moved to the UK.

Whilst living in the UK I fell pregnant, it was not a planned pregnancy but I made the most of it and I was happy. During my stay in the UK I travelled to Germany, Holland, Italy, France, Ireland and Austria. I have traveled quite extensively, probably visited about 30 ish countries.

2001
I returned to SA as the UK was just not for me, I moved to Durban, Amanzimtoti and gave birth to Joshua, my beautiful little boy.

2002
A business proposition arose and I returned to my hometown, Vereeniging. I married Joshua’s father. My friend Lisa from the UK and Anjela from Australia came over to visit me, it was lovely to see them.

I started working in Johannesburg for an awesome boss – Mr Berry.

I met Yollie and we became friends, she is one of my dearest friends.

2003
Joshua’s father and I got divorced.

I started studying part-time (beauty therapy) as I had no intention to stay in the corporate world.

I became the proud owner of my own home and car.

2004
I socialised a lot during this year, meeting loads of new and interesting characters, some I am still in contact with.

2005
I met my soul mate, the man of my dreams and the love of my life:)

2006
My parents took Joshua and I to Australia and New Zealand on holiday, this was by far one of the best holidays I have ever had. We had so much fun.

April was a sad month for us because Barend’s brother in law passed away, leaving behind his beautiful wife and precious little boy.

I took a bold step forward and sold my house and moved in with Barend.

2007

My gran passed away, it was very sad for all of us left behind but it was comforting to know that she was no longer in pain and no longer suffering.

I fell pregnant again, the news arrived as quite a shocker at first but we were all happy and excited.

I was introduced to the blogging world and I have met some really awesome people. Blogging is addictive and I love it. I love reading posts and more than often will find one that inspires me, gives me hope, makes me cry, makes me laugh and makes me think…………..

I am looking forward to the next 10 years!

I’m trying to stay awake while typing this post, thinking this could wait but it’s been a couple of days since my last post and I don’t like to lag behind.

I keep wondering how mommies cope with twins. I am in desperate need of sleep and not just one or two hours, a good couple of hours. Logan is pretty much on a 4 hour feed but in between that I need to care for Abigail and Joshua. I am trying my best not to neglect them.

Joshua asked me to watch Ice Age 3 with him last night, I think I made it past the first 5 minutes of the movie and fell asleep.

I am really hoping that at six weeks, Logan sleeps thru. We were very fortunate with Abigail because she slept thru from six weeks (8pm – 7am) and she still does. Hmm what are the chances of Logan doing the same:)

I feel pretty awful cause I’m not able to post often, let alone read other blogs. I try to log on to the pc at least once a day.

I would love to participate in the 365 photo challenge, but honestly I don’t have time, so for now I’ll just enjoy everyone else’s photos.

This year we are spending Christmas eve with my parents and staying over to celebrate Christmas morning. We only open our gifts in the morning as Santa only delivers to our house at midnight when we are all asleep:)

It is our first Christmas with Abigail and Logan and we are really looking forward to it. Joshua is also very excited, I sent his wish list to Santa via e-mail and he is praying that he gets all the gifts he listed. This year his list was not that long so we’re hoping he gets what he asked for:)

We are all going to my sister – in – law for Christmas lunch and although I’m looking forward to quality time with the family, I’m not looking forward to everyone wanting to pick Logan up. Barend and I have decided that if anyone wants to hold her it will be for five minutes only and only while she is awake. The only time I really battle with her is after she’s been held for quite some time, she becomes very restless at night and I’m sure it is because her little body gets sore.

On boxing day we are heading off to the dam to spend some time with Ali and her family. I’m really looking forward to it. Joshua will get to spend time with his two best friends, they will swim, ride on the quad bikes, slip and slide etc. It’s a perfect place for children to run around and have loads of fun.

On the 30th Joshua will be jet setting to Durban to spend two weeks with his father, I am not looking forward to this. Two weeks is a very, very long time for me to be away from him. BUT I know that he needs to go and I know he will have a lot of fun. I will miss him very, very much.

I’m not sure when I’m going to get time to post again as I’m off to my mom for a few days, she is going to help me with the children and allow me some time to catch up on sleep and rest. So I want to wish all my “blog readers” a Merry, Merry Christmas – may you and your loved ones have a wonderful and blessed day.

He is expecting Logan to arrive on her own. I am already 3cm dilated and my cervix is ripe and soft. (I was soo relieved to hear this part).

I think I prepared myself for today and I guess I shouldn’t have.

When I arrived home I had a good cry, a nice long bath and then I watched t.v. with my mom and Joshua. (My hubby nipped out to a meeting). My mom arrived today to help me with Joshua and Abigial, it is so nice to have her around. I must admit I’m not really in the mood for conversation but just knowing that she is here with me, comforts me.

My hubby came home from his meeting and we lay on the bed and chatted, something I’ve missed – I don’t think we’ve done that in a while. If it is not the children we’re taking care of then it’s me fast asleep by 7:30 / 8:00 pm.

I felt a lot better after my “good old cry”, felt like a heavy load had been lifted off my shoulders.

Logan weighs 3.54 kg at the moment, quite a size for a little girl. I’m just glad she is healthy.

Oh! well now the waiting really starts………………………
